The navigation suite comes with several built-in menu styles: vertical and horizontal. Gain a ultimate freedom to make your own menu style with XSL and samples. Yes the navigation suite can do that, select a vertical style (might be a treeview style or other like verticalarrow..., and choose expand =true in setting mode.
It is just like other modules. Nothing need to change in web.config.

We want to know if this module will allow for Mandarin Chinese characters to be used in DNN navigation. We're currently fine for CN text in Text/HTML modules but when added to nav it creates problem. (URL can't be resolved due to CN characters in it.)

Hi,
It allows Unicode characters, so Mandarin is ok for displaying. The menu module also allow you to use page title to display in menu , meanwhile use page name for url, so if you want, you can have chinese in page title, and short english for page url in page name.

My module has a collection of menu styles, you can use as a horizontal menu, vertical menu... Depend on your need, you can keep or suppress the default nav bar.

I have a unique requirement for a menu and I would like to know if this is possible with NavigationSuite.
I want to show 3 parent menu items (products, services, contact) in a horizontal configuration.
Each menu item has to have its own unique background color, unique foreground color and different roll-over image (dnn page icon) that appears above the corresponding menu item on hover.
I also want the page icon to remain visible above the menu item in the same position as the roll-over, when on that corresponding menu items' page. I.E. when on the contact page I want the page icon to remain visible.

It is a normal module install, after installed, it will be available as a normal module which you can select menu style, choose root, excluded some nodes...It also registered as skinobject that can be use directly in skin. The skins included should be install as normal skin after the module installed because it use a pure CSS menu for Search engine and cross browsers. I have a guide file included in the package for deeper use.

I'm looking at your product as a potential navigation solution for us. However, we have our own designers and they'll need maximum flexibility to change any of the styles provided, or make their own from scratch. The use of XSL should let us do that, but I wanted to confirm with you that the module doesn't output anything we cant control, and that the module allows us complete freedom to generate whatever html we want from the associated XSL file.

Yes, you can change any styles provided or make your own xsl, as you see all the menus are made by XSL so that I can have any HTML I want. The module generates the XML of links, tabname,.. and XSL do the rest.
