1. Introduction
Dnn has a powerful and flexible skin architecture. But sometimes it is a little inconvenience to find a suitable skin(or container) from skin list through dnn standard way, especially when you have a lot of skin/container packages.
Take us as example, we have about 50 skin/container packages(nearly 250 skin files and 400 container files) , normally we need spend 2-3 hours to find a suitable skin and related containers for a new site through dnn standard way. That's why we develop this module.
This tool can help site administraor switch skin/container more quickly, more straightforward and more effectively, both module and skin object are provided.
2. What's new in v3.5
:Multiple portals supports
V3.5 allows you maintain skin/container for all portals / pages/ modules at the same time. Note ,this feature only available for super users( host account), site administrator can only maintain pages/modules of their own.
3.Module features
Skin/Container Switch Dialog
1: This module is only used by site administrator ( or super user ). super user( host account ) can maintain skin/container for all portals / pages/ modules at the same time, site administrator can only maintain pages/modules of their own.
2: Module will display skin package(or container package) on left list box, click a item will display its skin files(or container files).
3: The default list is loaded from host skins, you can click “host container” or “portal skin”, “portal container” to load related items.
4: Click thumbnail will open the full image.

5: Select a portal , change page or module from top dropdown list box, choose an item(skin or container), click “preview” to preview it. Click “Apply to Page” to apply it to your current page, click “Apply to Site “apply it to whole site.
6: “Apply To Module” button only works for containers, you need switch to container list (host container or portal container) and select a module before click this button.
7:Full localization support.
4.Use it as skin object
Package contains two skin objects, one is for skin files, the other is for container files. Both of them work as the same with module instance.
Use skin switch object in skin files(.ascx files)

I can define a skin for -- www.myweb.com -- and another skin to --- pda.myweb.com ---, and another to --- wap.myweb.com --- and so on.
The website (files + db) is the same, only change the skin to show diferent interface, it works in this scenario?

Do you mean change skin according on different domains?The skin/container switch 3.5 allows you manager multiple sites at the same time if you are host user. But for change skin according different domain name, it beyond module scope.

Can we get a triel version?
Can we set this up for role or only Andmine or super user can use this?
If we buy the basic version and then find that we need the source will we need to buy the souce for full price?

1:Sorry, we don't have any trial version available.
2:This module is mainly used for site administrator and host account. Other roles can't access its feature.
3:You can get enterprise with source code edition with 44% discount ( $45 ) if you bought standard version.
