DNN Module Version History

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Rock Solid Reliability

Our entire engine is SQL database driven. Host processes, server services, and even server reboots will not interrupt the send process. The DNN scheduler process will pickup where it left off when interrupted.

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Easy Unsubscribe

Many Laws around the world are specific about the management of the Opt-Out process. Automatic tokes, and single click confirmed Opt-out will ensure that you keep users happy while meeting your legal requirements.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Simple Control Panel

As with all our products, we work hard to keep our interface simple. With this application we use the traditional stacked control panel.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Unsubscribe Override

In some situations we know that communication to everyone on your lists is vital, so we have included the ability to override the unsubscribed people to contact them in an emergency.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Send .doc or MHTML Messages

You can send a Microsoft .doc, .docx, MHTML, or MHT file directly from the campaign manager. These file types will where necessary automatically be converted to a single file web page and sent. This is the same method as Office Mail Merge.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

MS CRM Unsubscribe Linking

Out module is part of our MS CRM integrated Portal solutions. This includes two way linking of the Unsubscribe data. While only valid for people using this integration package, it is native to this module.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Design in MS Word

Because of our support of .doc and .docx file, you can design and create email messages using the MS Word application. Utilizing the templates online, and dropping graphics and pictures into word that do NOT require to be linked to a web based image. Very Powerful

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Dynamic Email Content

We have included the ability to generate true dynamic content into your email messages. Link directly to RSS content either from other modules on your site or external RSS feeds. The data will be dynamically updated into your email content at scheduled send time.

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Included Images

Single File Web Page messages created in Word, will automatically include in it's send package the images used in the email. This ensures that even offline, your email messages will have rich visual content. It also ensures a consistency in visual presentation at the user end across a wide range of email applications.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Personalised Email Content

We have a rich profile token system that allows you to use any profile item data, including custom profile data to generate unique specific data to individuals. "Dear John, we have your primary phone number as...."

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

SQL Integration

Without SQL integration, you can use SQL code to reference data stored in any SQL database. This allows code happy developers to use our module to reference other SQL data stores, including non DNN based data.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

DNN Token Content

We have also tapped into all the defined DNN tokens. So any DNN token can be used to create dynamic content within your email messages.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Mailing Lists

You can manage your own custom mailing lists. Adding via CSS or Excel data a range of profile and email data.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Batched Processing

The send method will batch process on scheduler system. Allowing throttling and control over the send process.

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

List Cleanup

You can search, delete, add and manage your lists directly form the module interface.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Attach Files

You can attach any type of type for sending in the email messages. The file type can be attached and in a scheduled process, and the contents of the packaged updated at a later stage.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Completed Run History

Diving within the matrix of data will allow you to see the send progress or success / failure for any particular email address. You can check if an email was generated in a campaign for a specific individual address using our lookup tools.

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Select Via Security Roles

DNN Security Roles can be used to select specific user groups to send to in a campaign. Use none, one or all your different security role groups at one time.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Bounce back Protection

We have the built in ability to monitor or monitor and manage a pop3 email address. Our application will look specifically for bounced email messages (distinguishing between normal email, out of office email etc) and add the bounced email messages to a bounce list with count. You can then specify that when a certain count is reached, these email addresses should be dropped from future campaigns.

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Select Custom Lists

Select from your custom created lists either separately or in conjunction with the DNN Security roles to generate a combination of lists to send to.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Bounce Management

You can manage the bounce list from within the module, adding editing the bounce count or removing addresses from the bounce list.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Exclude Via Security Roles

You can select from your DNN security roles the roles you wish to exclude from a send. For example, you could select to add all Registered User, but select to exclude all Staff Security Role

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Scheduling

You can deliver immediately or schedule a campaign for delivery later. You manage the kickoff time and the scheduler will run when necessary and start the send process.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Exclude Via Custom Lists

You can also exclude people biased on your custom lists. For Example you may have a list of people interested in hearing about Weekly Specials, but you don't want them to hear about your Monthly Specials. Exclude the custom list and know that they will be excluded from that send.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

RSS Fed Content

You can create, manage and token feed RSS content into the body of your email campaigns. Allowing you to feed dynamic content to your email recipients.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Email Application Integration

You can use a powerful email application integration to reach into your applications like Outlook or Windows Mail and pull contacts and their email data directly to this module. This allows you to send an email via the web to all your Email Application contacts.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Linked Survey Support

You can drive users with tokens to custom surveys, providing them with the profile data they need to complete the survey as a registered user.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Duplication Removal

This we Love. After all the various sources of email addresses are pooled together into the module for sending, Duplications are removed and people will only get a single message, even if they appear on different lists or imported contact data. How Cool is that!

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Integrated Microsoft CRM Support

We have a suite called Interactive CRM Portal that extends Microsoft CRM Dynamics Live service. This module is an integrated part of that suite that is two way synced with CRM marketing lists and the "Do Not Bulk Email" unsubscribe.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Scheduled Send Time

Campaigns can be set to run at times and dates. Allows you to be out of the office when a campaign is

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Automatic Campaign Catch-up

Allow members subscribing a list or role to catch up on past email campaigns automatically, with the past time (e.g. 6 months of news letters) and frequency (2 per week) able to be set.

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Create Nested Campaigns

You can use the link tracking data to generate a nested campaign. Send a follow up message to all the people who were interested enough in a link from the first message that they clicked it. A truly powerful sales tool indeed.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

SMTP Flexibility

You can accept default DNN SMTP settings, or set a number of your own SMTP servers, and specify the how the servers should work (sharing the load or in a backup mode)

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Opt-In Registration

Included in the module package is a separate Opt-In module. This allows you to create custom lists and link them to the Opt-In module. Allowing your users to select and manage the lists they are opted into.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

SMTP Set Limits

You can specify that for each campaign only a certain number of messages should be sent via a specific SMTP server, allowing you to use servers with daily limits like Gmail servers.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Multiple Opt-In

Users can Opt-In to non, one or many lists. Remembering that duplication removal is automatic at send time, you can punch out an email to all lists, and people subscribed to multiple will receive a single email.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

SMTP Specific Domains

You can specify that a particular SMTP server should handle specific email domains e.g. Gmail servers handle all mail traffic to email ending in .gmail.com.

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Opt-In Auto Notification

The Opt-In module can auto reply to the Opt-In process to ensure that users are confident about their opt in process.

 DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

SMTP Failover

You can have a primary SMTP mail server, and specify one or a number of backup servers. This way if one fails, the send process will move on to the next to try sending.

DotNetNuke Bulk Email Module

Opt-In Account Creation

We have even made it possible to automatically create a DNN account for people who Opt-In to a list. This is a powerful way of drawing people to express interest in products or services, but capturing a relationship with them into your DNN site without requiring them to re-enter all their details.

Pieter Van T says... 4.0

As the automatic licensing didn't work in my case, I raised a call through the license support email account listed on the site / module / manual. I sent a reminder and never an answer. I was getting very displeased and voted '1' on a previous review explaining my problems. After thinking it through, I remembered that I originally had set up my Snowcovered account with another email account - which isn't active anymore, hence the switch. And when I filled in the old, non-existing email account, voilà, the automatic licensing worked. The good news here is of course that it now and that I am impressed by the functionality of the module. As this is an issue of Snowcovered rather than of InteractiveWebs or the BulkEmailer module itself, I think it's fair I only deduce one star for the non-responsiveness to an email account listed as the support email for licensing in the documentation of the module. NB: Snowcovered opened a call but never got back to me on the issue.

Great product, great support - the MS Word feature helps a lot, very user friendly!

Mermaid Beach SLSC Web Site A says... 5.0

This is a very easy module to use and does all that you would expect of a professional bulk emailing utility. I particular like the campaign reporting that gives you a clear picture of what's gone out and who's read it. The real point of difference, however, is in the quality of support provided by the folks at InteractiveWeb.com.au. They sorted out my SMTP issues by getting their hands dirty ... that is, by helping me set everything up so that it was running smooth and sweet. Thanks DF and the other folks at IW for great support and a great product!

Questions from other customers
Ask a Question
Q:  Hi. Am I correct in assuming there is no ongoing subscription fees or additional costs?
A:  You are correct. The license you purchase can be used forever on the sub domain you activate on.

Q:  The module does work on medium trust.
A:  Yes it does. However some hosts have very restricted SMTP outbound limitations.

Q:  Does the system keep a tally of total number of e-mails being sent? Since I have a monthly cost per email from my SMTP server I want to be able to know how many messages each of my customer sends, so I can charge them accordingly.
A:  I will keep track of total emails being sent for each campaign, and you could do a custom SQL dig to total the totals.

Q:  Hi There, I would like each / or selected email newsletters sent to become part of the site (either as a part of a page, or as a new page itself) to help build site content and make the information available to all users. Is that possible? Thanks!
A:  Actually we don't have an archive viewer module, but it is a good idea. We have included it for update and should be included in the package in the next month.

Q:  hi, i want trail version for bulk emailer from www.interactivewebs.com but i am unable to get that any one can you please help me how to get this trial version. Thank you, Agiline
A:  you simply need to go to our website and visit this page to download the module. http://www.interactivewebs.com/ModuleDownloads/tabid/163/language/en-AU/Default.aspx

Q:  Hi, I like the trial version. I like the features. However, on our site, we allow members with certain roles to be able to send mail messages. These memeber roles are not administrators and should not be able to access some of the Bulk Emailer features. Is there a way to designate a role to be able to send bulk messages, but not access lists, bouncbacks, other settings within the module?
A:  No, at this point in time, the mdoule will only allow the people who can access lists etc to send emssages. We are working on a big upgrade with silvelight interface that will allow this, however this is some months away.

Q:  Hi, Is it possible to set up a custom page for unsubscription / opt-out? Custom page, like you can set for login and put other modules around it (ctl pages)? Thanks, Nejc
A:  With our opt in module, you can manage your subscriptions and that will run on a page like any more. For true - opt out, never get another email sort of thing, that is managed by a direct link to a hidden page. All that it does on that page is unsubscribe. This is to meet legal requirements of some countries.

Q:  Hello, we have crm 4.0 on our own servers. Pls explain to me how closely we can utilise our crm 4.0 with your package. Thank you. Regards. Hugo.
A:  We have a MS CRM 4.0 integration suite that allows CRM and DNN to integrate and share information with eachother two way. The part that integrated CRM with Bulk Emailer will take marketing lists from the CRM side and make those lists available in the Bulk Email module as selectable lists. The unsubscribe system will also mark "Do Not Bulk Email" in the CRM contact associated with the email address that has unsubscribed from Bulk Email Messages. Additionally this is two way, so if you mark "Do Not Bulk Email" in a CRM side contact, then it will add that email address to an unsubscribed list on the Bulk Email side so that they don't get your email messages from that DotNetNuke Mdoule. Use our contact us form if you would like more information.

Q:  Hi, I have a couple of questions... 1. Can we use this module to setup a group like Yahoo Group (authorized members can send out messages to the Group; recipients can send their responses to the Group as a whole or just to the individual (original sender)? 2. Can all authorized members access past messages (using a calendar interface)? 3. The DNN Host settings allow one SMTP setting; how can we use multiple SMTP servers ? - thru Module settings? 4. Can we delegate newsletter management (user management, etc.) to non-admin users - who are responsible for each Newsletter? Thanks a lot in advance! VJ
A:  1. No. This is not an email group and reply system. We offer this service to our own hosted clients via a list group management system, so I know what you are talking about. This module will not do it, but if you want us to host your domain, we can offer it. 2. If you have the right to admin the module, you can access past messages. 3. Multiple smtp server can be configured in our module directly. 4. The permissions of the module are set per module instance not broken down to permissions in the module. But you can use the module multiple times on a single site and have different users admin different versions.

Q:  Does it run OK on 4.9.0? Thanks...
A:  The specs that it runs on are in the bottom of the listing. But yes, it does run on 4.0.0.

Q:  I have a main portal and 45 child portals. Can this module be loaded on various child portals within my site and run separately in each instance without any issues?
A:  There will be no problem with any number running at one time, although the server may be busy if you have a lot of email going out. This module will work by module ID, so it can even be used multiple times on a single page. What you do need to be sure of is the license requirements. It is by subdomain, so depending on your child portal domains, you may need many licenses. Bulk discounts are available on our site.

Q:  Is everything on a per portal basis? That is, are the categories, templates, mailing lists, and every thing else kept separate for each portal and processed separately?
A:  Yes they are. Actually many of the components run seperately per instance of the module. So you could have many instances on a single page. Naturally some data is shared.

Q:  Hi Is Bulk Emailer suport localization ? Are they french localization avalaible ?
A:  It does support any localization, as the localizations are correctly implemented via DNN. You will need to modify the english version to the language of your choice.

Q:  Hello. Doing tests with the trial version of your bulk emailer module. I love it so far. So much better then what was included. I have about 52,000 users in one Core DNN Group that I need to send an e-mail to. I plan on purchasing your module from DotNetNuke directly. If I send the e-mail to the one entire group, will the message be one giant (BCC) message, or will it be 52,000 seperate messages? I know the integrated module has setting to change this option. I didn't see it on your module. I see you module comes with updates for the first 6 months. What is the proceedure/cost to get upgates after that. Thanks for your time in advance! Chris
A:  The reason we do not allow you to set BCC is because SMTP can limit the number of BCC messages that are sent in one send, and spam software will also block past a certain number. Both of these are variable and indicate a lack of understanding of email servers. It does not save on traffic, as the smtp servers will still have to deliver each BCC message, it only saves between web and SMTP. Bottom line is that it is a feature that will achieve very little, but add unreliability. Our current update policy is this: http://www.interactivewebs.com/ModuleDownloads/ModuleUpgradePolicy/tabid/1855/Default.aspx Might make you smile.

Q:  Can your product send newsletters based on scheduled sql queries? EX. I want to scedule a set of e-mails daily , one for birthdays, one for new members, one for expiration reminder, and one for aniversary...is this possible with your module?
A:  This function is being worked on now. We are expecting a release in the next two weeks to include SQL scripting options.

Q:  Hey, is there a way to limit the number of e-mails a user can send out over a specific time? Since I am paying for the SMTP service I want to make sure I don't get a large unexpected bill.
A:  The most straight forward way would be to increase the time the scheduler runs. By default it is every minute, bump that up to an hour then you would dramatically increase the time taken to stagger out a bulk email. An interesting feature is the new SMTP Server configuration. You can set the amount of email to be sent through a specified SMTP server. This too will limit the amount of mail per SMTP server is sent.

Q:  hello, i opted to buy a different campaign manager because you did not have a features i need to run our business logic. Unfortunately their campaign manager is not working out well! Their support has not seriously helped us through he issues. and today the module is still broken. i would in fact consider switching to yours if and when this one features are employed. 1.0 )An auto-campaigner like (product) "opt in" so when a new client registers as a registered client i begin sending a companied of e-mails. one email every xx days. when their role changes to distributor, i begin sending a different e-mail campaign, one every xx days automatically on a schedule. this campaign happens daily for the subscribers who qualify. keeping the exact days between e-mails in tact. IE, every xx days. the progress and opens must be reportable assuring the e-mails were indeed sent and read. Please advice if this will happen and when. I am ready for a change. I am happy to evolve this concept further.
A:  We hear this quite a bit. Our module actually does a lot more than you see, as we have a package that integrates the module into Micrsoft CRM 4.0, and it is with this integration suite that we achieve what you talk about. However we are happy to address these features, please contact us from our website www.interactivewebs.com with phone details, and we will chat to ensre we build what you are looking for.

Q:  We want to be able to send emails to everybody in a say 'opted-in' role. So whenever a user is added to our site they will automatically be added to this role, and whenever someone opts in to a email list they will be added to this role (this module can do that right?) so then whenever someone opts out, can it be set to remove them from this role? Because in order to keep our mailing list updated we will regularly be adding everybody in this role to our mailing list, but dont want to keep adding people that have opted out.
A:  It acheives the same goal in a different way. When people opt out they are added to an opt out list. No matter if that person is on a list or not, or no matter if you send to them or not, they will not receive the email because they have opted out. (unless you click the override option).

Q:  I wish you had 2 things - 1) An auto-responder like iContact so when I get a new client he/she automatically gets 1 or more emails sent to him on a schedule. 2) The ability to schedule email campaigns. Example I would like to send out an email today and a different follow-up emails in 30, 60 and 90 days from today. Are you considering adding either of these two features?
A:  Point 2 has been built and is ready for release. Point 1 is being built now.

Q:  If the client has a DNN site with Catalook ecommerce. Could the client sign up for the news letter on checkout and have the information details from check out fill the form for registration? If so, is this tough to install? If not how would you suggest this sign up work?
A:  This is a feature that we looked at, but decided was not necessary. With Catalook, you can set the sales to create a user account for your clients, and to put them into a DNN security role at the point of sale. This way you can use our module to send email to either all registered users, or the security role of the product in question. If a person does not want to get any more mail from you. They opt out once, and will never get a bulk email again.

Q:  I'm looking for a newsletter module for DotNetNuke 4.9.x, to convince a customer to switch to DotNetNuke. The mosule should have the following features: Newsletter editing: * Newsletter in HTML format, WYSIWYG preview. * Stored newsletter templates / skins, so that all newsletters have the same look (same header, footer, colors etc.). * Ability to create different newsletter categories for different user groups, where each category has its own template / skin. * Ability to send newsletters to all categories. * Newsletter archive, where old newsletters can be copied and edited to create a new one. Subscription: * Opt-in subscribing; subscribing without registration; one click unsubscribing from within the newsletter. * Users can subscribe to more than one newsletter category. Sending: * Automatic sending on a given date. * Batch sending, to prevent mail server overload (3000+ recipients). * configurable sender address. * Bounce mail statistics, with the ability to delete the bounce mail adresses from the subscribers list. * Distinction between hardbounces and softbounces. Import/export: Import/export subscribers from/to Excel/CSV file; in particular export bounce mail adresses to Excel / CSV file. Optional: * Connection to an external commercial bulk mail sending service. I'd be glad if your module implements most or all of the required features, and I'm awating your reply. Thank you!
A:  Our module covers most of these features with the exception of a few. You cannot lock down templates to security roles. Template Management is done via your Text HTML editor or MS Word Template. News archive is informative only, and cannot be used to quickly send the same letter. This is what templates are for. No limit set for sending numbers. But we also have features not mentioned. Link click tracking Read reports MS word to MHTML sending. It is free to try. So downlaod from our site and see what you think!

Q:  Hi I need to have to able to submit and email at say 5pm and then have it sent the following day and 8am. Is this kind of scheduling available? thanks
A:  Not yet, but give us a couple of weeks. That sounds like a good feature and we will build that in.

Q:  Does this have a signup option where you can put a model on your site for people to sign up for one or more mailings? Also allow them to change what mailings they signed up for?
A:  Yes it does. There is an advanced subscription module included in the package.

Q:  We have a site that has over 7000+ members. the newsletter module doesn't deliver emails to all the users. Also, my hoster (godaddy.com) has a cap on no. of emails that can be sent daily. Once the no. of emails hit the daily limit the remaining are queued for the next day. I am wondering if this module can take care of the no. of the users we have and the hoster limitation? thanks
A:  Yes, the module sends 50 email messages per tymer cycle. so if you find out the Go daddy cap.. say 1000 per day. Then set the time to run say every 90 min. You would not reach the cap and would still have room for the odd form post email etc. Or just use a non go daddy smtp server.

Q:  Can we email balst an html email with embeded images with this module?
A:  Yes, you can send html with images. Easy way is to use the free tial period to test. Grab the module at our site.

Q:  I want a set of simple subscribe/registration fields in a container on the home page (i.e. Name, Email) and then use the DNN role to control the subscriber list. Am I correct in assuming I will need to buy a separate module to handle the simple registration?
A:  We currently achive this by getting people to register on the website, and using a role like Registered users or another auto assign role. Then when signed up, we can send to users who are part of that role. Alternatively using our Feedback Designer module to capture data to database, then exporting and importing as a custom list. In the very near furute we will be releasing an advanced signup module as part of the bulk emailer.

Q:  Hello. Let's say we have a group of users we want to send emails to. Some of these users are in one DNN role, others are in another role, and some are in both roles. For example: * We have 200 users in a "Customer Role" * We have 100 users in a "Mailing List" role * There are some users, but not all, who are in both roles. Can we send an email to all users in a given role or a set of roles? Furthermore, if we want to send an email to users in both roles, will it duplicate the message to users who are in both, or can it send only one unique message to each user, regardless of how many of the sending roles they are in? For example, can we select to send the email to both the Customers and Mailing List roles, and if so, will it send two emails to users who are in both roles, or will it keep them unique? Thanks!
A:  Hi.. it sounds like it will do what you want. You can select 1 or several roles in the dnn site. Then you can combine this with custom lists and then combine this with user imports from Outlook etc. Any message that is sent will treat each email address as seperate. So no matter how many lists or roles an email address appears on, the address will only receive one email message.

Q:  Do you have the following funtions in this module? Categories (multiple lists) Secondary SMTP (use a different mail server than the website uses). And the possibility of paid custom module development to make those happen.
A:  I am not sure about categories.. but we to have multiple lists available. The only SMTP feature currently is the DNN website settings. We would be interested in working with you on these features. Please use the contact us form on our website to request this. www.interactivewebs.com

Q:  Is there an API available so I can integrate some of this functionality into my modules? I manage a baseball league and have modules that send out game reminders automatically. As you've pointed out the out of the box smtp code does not work as well as I would like so am looking for something that I can integrate with that just works.
A:  There is no API available now. However we would like to work with you to include this. Please contact us via our form on http://www.interactivewebs.com

Q:  Hi, Do you have an enterprise license version as I am currently comparing your product to before I decide which one to purchase. http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovered2/DotNetNuke/Modules/Advanced-Email-and-News-Manager-270-Enterprise-Edition/id/6481 Many Thanks Lee
A:  Lee, Thanks for the enquiry. Yes we do have a licensing model for multiple licenses. http://www.interactivewebs.com.au/Store/tabid/161/List/0/ProductID/31/Language/en-AU/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName%2cProductName You can purchase our product for as little as $8.50 per license. These can be resold at any price you wish to anyone.

Q:  I want to send a series of seminars that goes out once every week starting when they sign up for my web site. Is this possible with your module.
A:  The module cannot automatically send content. Each week you will have to create and send the email message. But assuming this is what you are talking about. Then yes. As a user signs up to your site they become a registered user. Sending an email each week to registered users will include new additions to the site.

Q:  I purchased and am using version 40.01.07 of the Bulk Emailer. It is great! Do you offer an upgrade price to existing users?
A:  The new version can be used, and we will give you 1 license. The new version is a 1 domain 1 license setup. So please do not upgrade if you do not want to operate under this arrangement.

Q:  i like this very much. 2 questions: #1 - can i set it to use a custom smtp server/login? i don't want it to use the default host one. #2 - how does the throttling works? i use google app's gmail for our mail service, and they have a max of 500 send each day, can i set the mailer to send like 400 each day? thanks.
A:  Unfortunatley we have not yet built this level of control into the module. Our intention was that this would work with man thousands of users, and not really intended for the 400 a day type of bulk email. You are the second person to ask, so now we are thinking about other features and this may be one we include... but at this time we are integrating the module into MS Dynamics CRM to give that application a bulk email ability. So we are several months off looking at your feature request.

Q:  Do I understand your product? Let me know if the statements below are correct. People receiving the email do not have to be members of my dnn portal. I can use xls files to load multiple lists People can opt-out Thanks
A:  This is correct. Easy way to evaluate, is to use the Free Trial version of our software available at: http://www.interactivewebs.com.au/Downloads/tabid/163/language/en-AU/Default.aspx

Q:  Question, the unsubscribe feature with a single click, does this actually remove the user from the newsletters role, or just take them off of a list? Also, Onyakteck has token based templates which allow you to generate tokens based on SQL statements, which I find necessary as I can recreate url's for last forum post for a certain forum, etc. really whatever I want this is very powerful feature. Is this something you plan to implement or currently support?
A:  The unsubscribe feature actually adds the email address to a list. When a new email message is sent from any reference, be it lists, user roles, or imported contacts... the module compiles a list of people to send to, removed duplications, then removed email addresses on the unsubscribe list. This way.. is someone says "hay... don't email me" they will not get emailed unless you tick the override option. We have tokens that reference Profile data on the DNN site. SQL tokesn is something we have listed to include in the future. No specific date yet.

Q:  I have the trial of Email 40.02.01 on my desk top. I wish to import my outlook contact list. I saved it to excel 2003 csv on my desk top and attempted to import under email list management. It comes back with an Error email format message. My excel doc is saved in csv with only one column that is email addresses only. 1. Does my csv file have to be on my website (which is what the help sounds like) My site is hosted off site so I can't just browse for the file. 2. Can I import the file in another format? 3. What would you suggest the problem might be? Thank you - it looks like exactly the module I have been looking for!
A:  The problem is probably a formatting problem. Use the template .xls file provided in the download to guide you. Clear details are here in the manual. http://www.interactivewebs.com.au/bulkemailer/Help/tabid/534/language/en-AU/Default.aspx We suggest you paste your data into the .xls file provided. This will give a good result.

Q:  Oh, one more thing.........how do you add an attachmeent to the email?
A:  The attachment is described here: http://www.interactivewebs.com.au/bulkemailer/Help/tabid/534/language/en-AU/Default.aspx in the manual. Or from the send page. Click the + to show additional options. It is in there.

Q:  Is there a manual for this somewhere, the stuff on your site isn't much help. First, I cannot get it to accept an xls file nor will it take .doc or .docx cleanly. They have control characters everywhere. The unsubscribe tokens do not seem to work where ever you put them.
A:  There is a manual on the site: http://www.interactivewebs.com.au/bulkemailer/Help/tabid/534/language/en-AU/Default.aspx .xls is best done using the sample xls spreadsheet provided in the download package.

Q:  Hi, Does your Bulk Emailer module support templating ? Jav
A:  Yes the module can do templates in HTML, Word .doc, or .docx or mhtml.
