About:
IE PNG allows you to easily apply the “hack” to your sites in order to fix the PNG transparency issue on Internet Explorer 5.5 and Internet Explorer 6. It will detect the end-user browser and load the script only when needed to keep other request sizes down.
Compatibility:
SW.IEPNG has been tested on DNN4.6.2, DNN4.7, and DNN4.8.1. It is compatible with any version of DotNetNuke 4.6.2 or higher using Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 or SQL Express. Applicable (and tested) on IE5.5 and IE6.
Product Information:
Using only Javascript and CSS (IE behavior filter), the SW.IEPNG applies a "hack" which superimposes a blank image over all your PNG images to recreate their transparency effects.
User Manual/Installation:
Full user manual available for download. Upon purchase, you will need to download the SW.Common and SW.IEPNG packages. SW.Common contains common libraries used by all SeeleyWare modules.
Feature List:
- Use the default CSS which applies to all IMG, DIV, and INPUT tags automatically (background images included).
- Override the default CSS to apply only to tag(s) of your choice.
- Automatically detects the end-users browser and loads the script when needed so users with modern browsers can have lighter requests.
- Can apply the hack to your portal as a whole instead of dropping the module instance on all pages (see documentation for more details).

Trial:
Trials can be obtained by registering at our website (http://www.seeleyware.com), downloading the trial version from the Downloads area, and then generating a trial license under the “My Licenses“ tab.
Licensing:
SW.IEPNG is an unlimited (personal) usage license. This means that you can install it on any and all portals you are the primary administrator or developer for. You *may* not redistribute SW.IEPNG itself although the internal scripts may be (see notes below).
**Note**:
SW.IEPNG utilizes the TwinHelix IE PNG fix behind the scenes but extends it to allow for the DNN relative/dynamic paths. Their script is released with the GNU LGPL, version 2.1 or later license. Feel free to visit their site and manually use their scripts instead! |

Yes; I'd use the "skin" version of the module (see manual for implementation) and use the css to target #dnn_dnnLOGO_imgLogo { ...css here...}

Is the source code available?

Currently the source code is not available however I could make it available if that was desired. If you are interested please contact me through info[@]seeleyware.com.
One thing to note is that the backend scripting used by SW.IEPNG is available free for those who want to experiment with it (see TwinHelix: http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/). I have made minor modifications to their code to make it easier to use within DNN but their scripts would still be useable in an unmodified form.
