Q:
UMG is not converting our pictures to jpeg when we upload them, any suggestions as to why?
A:
Please try UMG 4.0.6 which was released yesterady, which fixed this problem.

Are the picutures stored in a secured folder in DNN or a standard folder. Also can we have the option to upload to a secure database, similar to the File Manager in DNN. The reason why i'm asking is because a want to secure the pictures from anyone just trying to pull them with a url or a script and downloading them.
A:
Pictures are stored in file system, and can't be easily copied, but can be copied by experts, please note once you expose a picture in flash, it is in the rish to be copied.
However, the "downloads" in UMG module, is securely stored, permission will be checked before downloading it.

Just to be sure.. We have one server with one DNN host and one database but we will design several different web sites for the "group" of companies. Which license should we be buying? Will the standard edition allow us to use it independently with independent settings for each web site, etc? Thanks.

After reading through all of the reveiws and your documentation, I'm still a little confused regarding capabilites of site users to upload pictures to the gallery. Can you enlightne me on if this is possible and how it works? I want to be able to set the module up on a page within the site and allow registered users the ability to upload their own pictures to the site and/or review pictures already uploaded to the gallery by the admin. Thx...
A:
There is a field named "Composing roles" in album-level, you can use this field to set which roles are allowed to add new photos, just inlcude Registered Users in composing roles on target albums, then all users can add new pictures to this album.
You also can optinally turn on approval process in this album, then all pictures uploaded by users must be approved before appearing in your gallery.

You mean Sql Server 2005 express? yes, UMG module can be used with it, there isn't any limits.

My module support unlimited photos, the only problem is the performance issue of client computers. so I think 3000 photos is okay, but your visitors can have better performance if you divide it to 2 galleries.
I have a lot of clients but I don't track their usage of this module, so I can't give you any link now, however, I think you can take a look at my trial gallery on bizmodules.net, currently it has 400+ photos and it works perfectly, without performance decrease.

I can't use this module and Swirl AJAX ChatRoom 1.9 (New) module together.
They both use AJAX.NET and now the module isn't working any more!

Hi, we would like to purchase this with Source. Could you describe to us what the source includes.
With many of the modules that we have purchased, we don't get the source, but a PA and a little code and are not able to customize to our needs. Are we able to customize this after if needed with the source provided.

If you purchased UMG 3 enterprise edition with source, you will get all source code of this module, including .net source and flash source, so you can customiza everything if you like.

Are there any reported hacks against Ultra Media? If so, what are your recommendations to avoid it.
I'm interested in using it on elementary school site with DNN.

I care security so much, so I did a lot of work on this module to ensure security, there isn't any known hacks.
I also send my module to FlatBurger(flatburger.com) for a complete security review, and they don't find any security leak. I can send you the review report if you like.

Yes, exactly as you states, you can hide the entire navigation bar at the bottom of the gallery, then your gallery works like a image rotater.

Is it possible to let a specific role to not have a total managment of the module but only upload photos to the albums that are already created on site ? (They cant create their own albums).
Th images uploaded should also be aproved later by an administrator.

Yes, you can grant "Composing permission" to specific roles on specific albums, then these users can upload photos because can't manage it, you also can enalbe the approval process on this album so uploaded photos must be approved by admin users.
